Oldsmobile 442
Update 10-18-14: TH200-4R rebuilt by Zach's in Longmont.
The paint and bodywork on this car alone was $9000. There are $3000 worth of suspension upgrades under this beast. Last call locally before it hits eBay.
The car has been in our family for the last 15 years, during which time it has received nearly everything you could do to a car. It is painted one of the deepest blues you will ever see by a top shop on Long Island, has all performance suspension pieces from Hotchkiss springs to Southside rear bars. 2" drop all the way around; this car handles unbelievably. The 455 has C heads, is worked and has only a few thousand miles on it. The motor has a huge 7-quart Milodon oil pan, roller rockers, etc., is backed by a 200-4R (overdrive trans that came in Grand nationals and others) that has a custom torque converter for this application. The rear is a 3.90 12-bolt Olds posi. All performance parts front to back including a custom aluminum radiator, holley carb, edelbrock manifold, HEI, aluma-cote headers, custom Hedman exhaust with x-pipe. This is a unique car that is very fast, incredibly stable and handles corners like a late-model Camaro. AN fittings and steel braided line on the trans to a high performance cooler. Gas line updated to all -8 with AN fittings. Master cylinder rebuilt, Edelbrock ram air system(aftermarket), bumpers are both rechromed, gas tank replaced, etc. Seats and carpet redone as well. It's beautiful. The stereo system is crystal clear- complete with amps and sub.
Wheels are 18" Intro Phantoms with Nitto 275/45/ZR18's out back!
There are definitely other things I am forgetting to list. It just goes on and on.
It's done right. If you understand what goes into such a build, please call.
Comes with a folder full of receipts on this car that go back to the 1970's.
This is NOT a matching numbers 442 guys, it's a pro-touring 442 convertible that needs nothing! If you're looking for a project car, I have another 68 442 convertible that is a project. Call.
The only original part of the drivetrain on this car is the rear end housing. PRICE? $20's. Come see it and make an offer. Please don't make offers in an email without having seen it. Oddly, this car has attracted a lot of that. Come see it, you will not be disappointed.
