We’re sorry but while this car may still be available, this ad had expired.

Very rare 68 Oldsmobile 442 W30 4 speed project car. Factory original code R scarlet red paint on entire car except for replaced driver side fender. Has the typical rust at base of windshield and trunk pan, some on quarter panels & bottoms of fenders, possibly needs some patch work around the glass channels. Car comes with an extra hood and trunk lid. Paint is not pretty but obvious that it's original, so nothing is hidden. Floorpan is nice, needs one small patch at driver heel area. Underside of car including frame is all clean (never undercoated) and entire front suspension was rebuilt many years ago with maybe 5k miles put on it since. One owner from 1985 to present. Car has been parked, mostly inside or in shelter since 1987. Factory 4 speed car, Hurst 442 shifter, red plastic W30 inner fender wells, Original paint white vertical fender stripe, dual snorkel outside air induction breather (restored), rally pack tach & guages, bucket seats, 3.91 12 bolt Olds posi rear, FE-2 heavy duty suspension with swaybars, 4-row radiator, manual steering & manual drum brakes. A very bare bones, low option car with steelies and dog-dish hubcaps. Most W30's were outfitted this way, built for one purpose. Engine is not the original (long gone before I bought car), but it is a 68 442 G-code 400 with 4-speed crankshaft. Also comes with a 71 455 block. Muncie included is not the original either. The rest of the car is pretty much original and about 90 percent here. The car was sitting & not running when I bought it in 1985. I cleaned it up, got it running and drove it for a year or so before buying another 442 and storing this one in hopes of doing a full restoration someday. Fast forward 26 years and here it still is, unrestored and not likely that I will get to it soon, so time to move on. There were right around 1,915 442 W30's built in 1968, out of that number 1,111 were hardtop 4 speed cars, this is one of those cars. I have old snapshots from the day I brought the car home showing it being a W30 back then with the red wells clearly visible. Again, it is a project car, NOT running or driving, although mostly complete. This isn't a cloned car from a Cutlass or standard 442, it is a real one with the small & obscure details that point towards legit W-car. Rare chance at one of these without having to spend huge bucks to get one. Yes the VIN series is 4487. Priced to sell, $4500 firm. Cash only, no trades, have clear WA title. I will have photos posted monday eve, thanks.
