In 1969 "The Turnpike Cruising" option was phased out, but a NEW OPTION, the W-32 was available. It was a modified version of the Force-Air Induction Car (W-30) that was slightly less fidgety on the street. The W-32 package consisted of the 400 cubic inch motor with a less radical cam then the W-30, making it more of a streetable version of the Air-Induction motor. The W's Dual-Air-Intakes had a total area of 26.2 square inches, which made them, according to Oldsmobile, the largest in the industry. Its cam still had plenty of overlap, with large valves, recurved distributor, Cold-Air-Carb, and branched exhaust manifolds with separate center ports.

All W-32's were Turbo Hydra-matic 400's, with a HIGH PERFORMANCE converter, high rpm and \\\\\"FIRMED UP\\\\\" shifts. THEY ALL HAD anti-spin rears, heavy duty radiators, heavy duty water pumps and special fan clutch. Its horsepower was rated by various sources at either 350HP or 360HP. Oldsmobile advertised that the 442 \\\\\"MAKES EVERYTHING ELSE LOOK TAME\\\\\" and its ratings certainly didn\\\\\'t dispute this. All the 442\\\\\'s came standard with the RALLYE-SPORTS SYSTEM SUSPENSION PACKAGE. It included HEAVY DUTY SPRINGS(front and rear), SHOCKS, REAR STABILIZER BARS AND REAR SUSPENSION LOWER CONTROL ARMS, AS WELL AS, HEAVY DUTY DRIVESHAFT, MOTOR MOUNTS, AND SEVEN INCH WIDE RIMS.(DEFINATELY, ONE OF THE BEST HANDLING MUSCLE CARS EVER OUT OF DETROIT)

There were ONLY 297 W-32\\\\\'s MADE IN 1969. The W-32 option was no longer available on the 442 the following year, making the W-32\\\\\'s the RAREST OF ALL OF THE W MACHINES.

I NEED TO LET EVERYONE KNOW, THAT THIS IS MY CAR, REGISTERED, INSURED AND DRIVEN BY ME (NOT SOME DEALER THAT KNOWS NOTHING AND LOOKING TO MAKE A QUICK DOLLAR). The car has always been ADULT OWNED AND EXTREMELY WELL MAINTAINED. The car holds its FACTORY LOOK all around. It has NEVER been hot rodded in any possible way. There are ABSOLUTELY NO crazy hi-performance upgrades (NO holley carbs, msd ignitons, edelbrock intake, NOT EVEN ANNOYING LOUD MUFFLERS). This FACTORY car runs ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESSLY!!!

I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO DRIVE THIS CAR FROM NEW YORK, TO CALIFORNIA, TO FLORIDA AND BACK TO NEW YORK WITH THE AIR CONDITIONING ON AT ALL TIMES!!!

CONDITION

Not a frame-off restoration or a trailer queen, but a VERY NICE, ORIGINAL, UNMOLESTED, FANTASTIC CAR.

The EXTERIOR color of the car is EXTREMELY RARE (Sable, color code B), with a black vinyl top. The car was painted several years ago. It is starting to show EXTREMELY very minor age at some of the bottom typical areas, most of the age is just starting at the bottom of each front fender (which I wouldn\\\\\'t worry about). The vinyl top is in VERY NICE SHAPE. The car has COMPLETELY 100% all original sheet metal (THERE ARE NO HALF QUARTERS OR PATCH PANELS ON THE CAR). All around the car is STRUCTUALLY SOLID. EVERYTHING works well, INCLUDING THE TRUNK LIGHT. All the chrome and bumpers are good. I WOULD NOT BE ASHAMED TO DRIVE THIS CAR ANYWHERE. IT STILL LOOKS VERY NICE!!!

The ORIGINAL INTERIOR of the car is black and almost 40 years old. The 2 front seats do have a couple of tears in them, but nothing I would worry about. The rest of the interior is in TERRIFIC CONDITION. The whole front dash area is in BEAUTIFUL SHAPE (NOTHNG IS CRACKED, BROKEN, OR CUT UP AND EVERYTHING WORKS GREAT). Even though an aftermarket radio was installed, nothing was cut nor altered, and an original radio can still be put back in its factory place. The headliner is not ripped or hanging. The whole back seat area and front door panels look GREAT, and the carpet is not ripped and looks good for its age.
