I have a '72 W30 with the Hurst dual gate shifter and the cable is shot. Any tips on replacing it? I ordered a new one from Supercars unlimited. Do I have to replace from underneath the car?

Welcome to the boards. I also have a 72 W30 with the dual gate shifter. Fortunately, my works and I haven't had to dismantle it. IfI can help with reference pictures or anything, let me know. I couldn't find much information in the chassis service manual, but doesn't seem to be directly what you are looking for.

Thanks for the info! After some research it looks pretty straightforward. I found a HURST scematic. My older brother has been a wrench since 1984 he said we can replace it in about a half hour.

Yes it is Saturn Gold. Originally purchased in Quebec Canada. Have the original Canadian title and registration.

Yup, also one of the Canadian 128 W30s shipped up north. Gotta love the Canadian documentation.

Is yours numbers matching? My block isn't but It still has the W-30 intake Ga Heads and the W exhaust manifolds.
