Wow! This car I bought has the numbers matching OW transmission and the 3:42 posi rear end. The carb and distributor match up too. Crazy thing is the block is a 70-72 F block. It has Ga heads on it but the aluminum intake manifold casting is early W30 1970!

Same car. I knew the engine was a period correct F block as the seller told me the original was long gone. I had assumed the aluminum intake was original but it is the early 1970 W30 casting. I was told they are fairly rare.

The VIN stamped on the block tag looks like it came from a 1970 442 not a factory/ dealer replacement. I finally received my 442 by the numbers book from Supercars Unlimited so I went investigating

Sounds like you found quite the car. So you have 2 W30s?
