I recently ran across this site and being the owner of an Oldsmobile thought this would be a good place to be.

I own a 1988 Cutlass GT, #14 of the 280 made. It's a documented 6 owner car and a ball to drive.

Looking forward to being part of the group

Welcome aboard and post pictures when you get a change. You don't see many of the Cutlass GT's around. What plant was yours manufactured at? Both my 442s coincidentally where either built in Canada or shipped there for sale.

Thanks for the welcome. The car was delivered to Regal Oldsmobile in Winston-Salem North Carolina. The car came out of Lansing, Michigan according to information I've got on a copy of paper got from the DOT of North Carolina.

Welcome to O.C.! Your information is somewhat correct! It may have stated Oldsmobile division, Lansing Mi. In actual reality, all rear wheel drive production came to an end after the 1984 model year. Plant 1 was totally remodeled for the N car line aka Pontiac grand am. Oldsmobile calais and Buick somerset regal.

The lion share of production either came out of Arlington, TX or Pontiac, MI

Run your VIN on this site to tell you where the car was produced: http://v8cars.hu/oldsvin/decode.php

Yep sounds about right. IIRC you should have a P for Pontiac in the VIN . I had an 87 442 and that came out of Pontiac. Your car is cool and low number. I don't believe that there is any formal G body GT club or forum. Please enjoy yourOldsmobile

Regards,

Pat

Just west of Lansing Michigan

Thanks Pat. Yup, enjoying the car for sure. Unlike the previous car I had (74 Dodge Challenger) a heck of a lot more comfortable to drive. And like the Challenger a true surviour. No restoration plans, just keep it mechanically sound and dependable.
