We’re sorry but while this car may still be available, this ad had expired.

Up for sale is my 68 Cutlass project car. It was born as a Holiday Coupe. I pulled this out of a barn 80 miles west of St. Louis. This car is complete down to the original radio, cigarette lighter, trunk mat and spare. The best part about this car is it is almost rust free. The only rust is at the bottom of the rear quarters behind both rear wheels. The spots are definitely repairable either with bondo or lead filler. The car has not seen rain since I have owned it. The trunk pan and floor pan are completely solid. The interior is better than what u would expect. The back seats are good and the carpet is not dryrotted. It just needs to be dyed. The front seat is a bench seat that needs to be redone. The dash pad does not have a single crack in it. All of the glass is original and in great shape. I have replaced the front bumper because when I bought the car, the previous owner was driving it around the farm and accidentally bumped a tree. The hood, grill and front bumper and core support were damaged. I have replaced all of those parts but the core support. The front end needs to be rebuilt and I would convert the front brakes to disc. The rear end is the stock 3.73 gear and the rear shocks are the good coil over shocks that came on the car. They are still stiff and I would not replace them. This is an AC car and I did not break the seal on the system when I had the motor out. I have installed a T400 Long shaft transmission. I know the transmission is good because I pulled it from my chevelle before I sold it. I put 5000 miles on the tranny after it was rebuilt. It is a strong transmission. I have owned it for 4 years and I have made some progress. I have not made any progress in the past 2 years and I do not see much time in my schedule to finish it in the near future. It is this reason that I offer it for sale. I had intentions of making it a 442 clone but this car is truly a blank canvas. It can go back original, it can be pro street rod or could be a really cool driver. I have rebuilt the original 350 Rocket motor, but I have not fired the engine. The motor has a rebuilt Holley 750 double pumper sitting on the top of it. I know the carb is good because I have seen it run on another motor. I have drained the fuel tank and replaced the pickup. The motor will not turn over because it will not draw fuel. I have a new fuel pump and new pick up. I am certain the fuel lines either are blocked or have rotted to the point that they will not draw fuel. I have poured fuel down the carb and the motor fires. So I know I have spark. I just have not had the time to replace the fuel lines. That is progress I have made in four years. There is still a lot of work left. For the right person, this can be a great project. Along with the car I am including all the parts to make the car numbers matching and some extra parts I bought for it.

Here is a list of the extra parts to go with the car:
455 Rocket motor (out of a 75 Delta 88)
Set of 5 15 SSII rims complete with beauty rings and chrome trim
Core support
Set of 442 taillights

I am asking $4500 for the car and additional parts. I will sell the car without the extra parts for $3500. Serious inquiries only. I will consider offers. Call David at 502-303-1446 to look at the car and ask questions. You can text me at that number as well. I have more pictures that I can send. The fact that this ad is still active means the car is still for sale.
