We’re sorry but while this car may still be available, this ad had expired.

This is an original numbers matching, mint condition REAL 442 Convertible with only I,042 original miles since new. I have the original protect-o- plate and other documentation which includes a title transfer slip from the Illinois DMV date stamped March 13, 1980 when the car was transferred to Florida with 137 miles on the car at that time. The original owner signed a notarized statement stating that the mileage on the car is actual and correct after 42 years of ownership. That was require by the FL. DMV to put the actual miles on the title when it was transferred to the current Pa title. Still have the original plastic emergency keys given to the original owner in their original case. This 442 convertible was factory ordered at Hames Oldsmobile in Palos-Hills, IL with the 350 motor. This car is loaded with options such as P/S, P disc brakes, Sport wheel, Tic-Toc-Tac Package, Trumpet dual exhaust, rally wheels and the other notable components including suspension pkg, W27 Rear end cover, W25 OAI hood & breather system, anti-spin differential with 3:32 gears and HD cooling. This 442 also has HD ALT, AM/FM Radio, Buckets ,console, factory A/C ( R12 ) STILL BLOWS ICE COLD. The exhaust system was changed from steel to stainless steel years ago and still looks new. All fluids have been drained and flushed and re-filled. ( Oil, Trans, Radiator, Brake lines, fuel tank, fuel lines, rear end oil ). Everything on this car is Factory Original. Take note in the engine photo of the original dated coded Packard spark plug wires. Also, you can see the never seen original phosphate spray on the hood hinges. Door ignition key buzzer works as it should. The original set of keys are on the leather key ring from Hames Oldsmobile when it was purcahsed new. The trunk latch has the original zinc coating on it in perfect shape, even the never, ever seen original battery cable mounting tube and bracket. Factory stickers are still visible on the inside of the rear bumper. The perfect original spare tire, wheel, jack and tire iron have never let there factory placement in the trunk. The car was completely painted about 5-6 years ago due to paint checking. (COWL TAG STATES #56 SUNFIRE YELLOW) and it stayed Sunfire Yellow. Now there is base coat with clear coat finish that is absolutely stunning. This car was stored in a climate controlled garage for years on end due to the original owner traveling across the USA. This car runs fabulous, rides smooth as silk and still has that new car smell. This 442 convertible is a AACA winner receiving the 1st place award which is a beautiful Crystal Trophy made in France. True investment grade collector car that would be a center piece in any collection. No disappointments.
