I have for sale a clean and original 1972 442. It is a factory U-Code 455 and TH400 Auto. It does not have a lot of options and was built to race. No A/C or Power Steering. Bench seat column shift car. The black interior is original and in very good condition with nice dash, seats, headliner and carpet. This is also a special order color of Viking Blue that was not offered in 1972 as a factory color choice.

Car has ALL of the things a 442 is supposed to have including no rocker moldings (never had them), has the special "FE2" suspension upgrades with heavy duty springs & shocks, front and rear sway bars, (front sway bar has the correct end for the FE2 455 package) boxed lower rear control arms, side striping, fender and decklid badging, faux hood louvers, and a unique grille and the rear bumper cutouts for exhaust tips, that came only when paired with the optional L75 455 CID V8. It also has the correct "Oldsmobile" script on the hood that only came with the 442. The original set of rallye wheels are with the car and there is a brand new set of factory trim rings.

Body is VERY solid and straight with only minor rust. Floors, rockers, trunk, rear window openings are excellent. Frame has no scale. There are small rust spots on the bottom of the fenders and doors, but EASILY fixable. The car starts, runs and drives and will do a hellacious burnout.

Car has been garaged for 20 years.

Engine is painted 350 gold, with 1970 455 "E" heads. Viking Blue was indeed a standard color in 1972. Paperwork needed to prove 442 provenance
