1971 Cutlass vinyl top/value question

Hey all - I'm looking at a '71 with the vinyl top. I've noticed that some vinyl tops cover all the way to the drip rail and others stop short and have a painted area between the rail and the vinyl. What designates the difference? The one I'm looking at stops short.

Also-Any input on value? It's a 95k original mile car with no rust with the exception of some bubbling under the vinyl top. 350/350, tilt, a/c (not working) bench seat, in the same family for decades. Great paint with a small crease in the passenger door. Green on black. Been sitting inside for some time. Starts right up, runs and drives good. Thanks in advance!
