I want to start off saying that when I first got into Oldsmobiles, I knew I always wanted to get a 1968 442. After a lot of years, work, and luck, I and meeting great people... I have one in my garage. However, in my routine scans of what is selling locally here in Kansas, a 1972 442 convertible popped up. It was baby blue, white top, white interior, and had the great black accent stripes that I think look great. My wife has a pretty strict "1 car in the garage policy", but I was thinking, blue is her favorite color, its a convertible which she loves, and with a initial asking price of $12,000 I may have a shot of saying its a car for her and two Oldsmobiles in the garage.

She still said no.

After looking around more I knew the car was more then a $12,000 and pitched the idea of making a "investment" out of it (really with the plan of being able to enjoy and eventually try to keep it for her anyway).

Well, it got sold.... over and over it looked like.

Woulda coulda shoulda....we've all been there at least once in our lives. A great person once stated..."He who hesitates is lost..." or something like that. Meaning grab it next time, whats the worst that could happen...a divorce?

Hmm, perhaps a little more reflection is warranted, or not

when you put it that way... haha.

You know what they say... "it's easier to ask for forgiveness then it is for permission". I should have at least checked it out in person. Oh well.
