My 72 W30 has been repainted one... and not well. Although the body is pretty straight, there are lots of paint scratches, chips, and over spray in some areas. It looks good from 20 feet away, making it still look great cursing and not bother me much.A true paint job is not in the budget really any time soon, but I was considering maybe trying one of these plasti dip coats for over the winter as a temporary solution. A kit with gun is $442 (ironically enough) which I don't think is too bad if it actually comes out halfway decent. I have a painter buddy and he has said unless its applied perfectly, it can be a pain in the ass to peal off and wasn't to keen on the idea.

Anyone actually try it or have their thoughts?

I need to just find a couple reliable painters around here to even get a quote to even know what I need to save for.
