WTB 69-71 ht, or convertible
Wanted
looking for a '69 to '71 442 [or a cutlass SX] hardtop or a ragtop inexcellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, or fully restored... a completely rust free, turnkey ride, ready to drive anywhere anytime as is.... within 75 miles of new york city/bergen county, nj area...
i'm in a wheelchair so it must be automatic with bucket seats/console, ps, pb... cold, working a/c and 12 bolt posi rear strongly preferred... prefer 455 engine regardless of year, numbers not matching is ok, so a '69 442 with a swapped-in 455 is perfectly fine as long as the mill is fresh and strong...
contact me via pm here, or on classic oldsmobile [look for my similar wanted ad there in appropriate section]...
i might consider a very well built cutlass clone of a 442 if it has the 455/400 drivetrain AS WELL as the heavy duty rear, suspension, radiator, etc. not just a cutlass with stripes on a hood and the aftermarketgrill but with inferior suspension, weaker diff, etc...
might also consider a '72 but only if it's optioned like above asa full fledged 442...
please don't contact me with overpriced cars, bench seat cars, project cars or ones that aren't in excellent condition...i don't want to deal with rust, body work or any mechanical/electrical issues....i know what non w-30, vanilla442s go for in real life, if you have a barrett-jackson syndrome please get help instead....
can do a straight cash buy.... or straight trade/partial trade with my award winning [1st place class winat the 'grand national roadster show' in 2010], multiple magazine featured [including full cover], full kustom 1960 ford fairlane....
jerzy...

hi,
i clicked on your link but there were only olds parts advertised for sale on that page...however, i see a '70 442 w-30 optioned for 23kat the bottom ofpage 2 of the link you posted, is that the car you meant?...
the price seems very good for such a car in excellent condition, too good to be true in fact... after i clicked on that ad from the site you linked, i had to click on another link where it was originally listed [americanlisted site]...that site loads with a long script and a lot of ads, my computerfroze in fact the fiirst time and i had to reboot it... anyway, there was another ad on that site just before this car which sounds like it's about the same ride and with more pics/info but that ad has a much higher price of 50k and it's a 4 speed car:
http://baskingridge.americanlisted.com/7920/cars/real-1970-olds-442-with-w30-add-ons_32396113.html
it seemsthe ad with 23k listed price is an error...i just sent the seller a message [from the ad whiich lists it at 23k] asking if it's still for sale but it seems to me that the actual price for that car is actually 50k and it's a 4 speed car [50k is way above my budget and i must have auto]...my budget in cash is around 30k, maybe 35k if it's a really nice ride checking off all my required boxes....thanks, i'll let you know what the seller's response will be but i think that the ad with the 23k price is bogus...the one with 50k price for identical car has much more info/pics so it seems as if it's the original one....
jerzy....
