1970 442 Convertible Matching Numbers
Ad Description
$58,000 OBO… as of this writing this is the least expensive real 1970 442 convertible on the internet with matching numbers and the only Viking Blue/white/white color combination I could find
Hello,
This 1970 442 Convertible is real with the 344 VIN prefix and numbers matching motor in it. 1970 was the pinnacle year for muscle cars.
The motor is 10.5 to 1 compression with an underrated 365 horsepower and a whopping 500 ft/lbs of torque. The car also has the optional original W-25 forced air induction hood scoop and original rebuilt Hurst Dual Gate Shifter. The transmission is a Turbo 400.
This car is driven only a handful of times on the best summer days and is kept under a custom fit Wolf Automotive cover. The car cover is included. The car is always kept clean, therefore; I never have to wash it with water. I use a leather chamois and spray wax only.
The previous owner has a body shop. He purchased the car in 1996 with 71,000 miles on it. I saw that on the title. He restored the car over a 5 year time frame, then kept the car in a climate controlled garage for the next 20 years only driving it 8,000 miles. The car had 79,000 miles on it when I bought it and now has 80,000. The car was originally Twilight Blue with a Blue interior. Car is now Viking Blue with a parchment color interior. Therefore, the visors, dash, seat belts, carpeting, trim, etcetera are blue like they should be. The car has painted stripes on the hood and sides under clear coat. No decals.
This car is a blast to drive. It is extremely comfortable and rides and handles like new. It has power front disc brakes, power steering and power top.
A photo history book of the car’s restoration is included.
Note: When I say “NEW”, this refers to the restoration of the car, except for maintenance items and where stated otherwise.

I have priced this car very competitively. My name is Steve and you are welcome to contact me anytime with questions or concerns.
This 442 convertible is a high quality driver with a VERY VERY DESIRABLE COLOR COMBINATION and a NUMBERS MATCHING MOTOR. A 455 motor out of a 1975 Oldsmobile is rated at only 190 horsepower.
This car comes out of a previous long term 25 year ownership. Just 9000 miles have been put on the car since the restoration.
This car is super reliable. I cruise this car about 110 miles every time I take it out.
Thank you,
Steve
P.S. If not paying in cash, I will not send the title or release the car until all monies have cleared my bank account. Shipping of the car is the responsibility of the buyer and I will facilitate the move with your shipper if necessary
